About Auris Reader
Reading should be
for everyone.
Auris Reader is a desktop app that reads your EPUB and PDF documents aloud with neural voices and translates them in real time — privately, on your own machine.
Where it comes from
Built for a family that loves to read.
Auris Reader started as a tool for one family: parents whose eyes tire sooner than their curiosity, readers juggling books in two languages, and the uncomfortable thought that one day the small print wins. The options out there either streamed every page to someone else’s cloud, stopped at reading aloud, or mangled any PDF more complex than a novel.
So we built the reader we wanted to grow old with: one that speaks naturally, remembers the context of what it translates, cleans the noise out of PDFs — and keeps the library where it belongs, on your computer.
“I built this because I wanted my parents — and myself, in 30 years — to keep reading without giving up.”
— Andrés Nacimiento, maker of Auris Reader
Today Auris Reader is an independent, self-funded project built in Tenerife, Canary Islands. No investors, no growth team, no engagement metrics — subscriptions fund the development, and that is the whole business model.
What we stand for
Three commitments we don’t trade away.
Privacy by default
The desktop app does not track what you read. Your books, your reading history and your translations stay on your device. Your account exists to manage your plan and your devices — never to profile your library. See our privacy policy for the details.
Accessibility first
High-quality voices are the product, not a premium add-on. Auris Reader is built for people with dyslexia, low vision, visual fatigue or a second language — designed with the EU Accessibility Act (2019/882) and the Marrakesh Treaty in mind.
Honest by design
If something is online, we say so. If a feature is not ready, it is not on the pricing page. No fake testimonials, no countdown timers, no “no card required” tricks. The trial is 14 days, and we explain exactly what happens on day 15.
The product
Three adaptive engines. One quiet reader.
Under the hood, Auris Reader runs three proprietary systems: an Adaptive Predictive Pipeline that removes the pause between sentences, a Contextual Translation Memory that keeps names and terms consistent across chapters, and an Adaptive PDF Content Detection engine that filters headers, footers and artifacts before the voice reads them.
Try it on your own shelf.
